Pole Fitness - Beginners Class

Mondays - 7:15pm - 8:15pm...Pole Fitness is an athletic approach to traditional pole dancing. Throughout our classes, we will guide you through basic spins, transitions and tricks that will build your strength and increase your flexibility. Anybody over 18 is welcome (there will never be an upper age limit!) and of course we welcome people of all genders and identities. You don’t need any previous experience to come to our beginner classes, just bring yourself and a positive attitude, and we'll do the rest! We guide you through basic spins, holds and transitions in order to build up your strength and stamina. We will combine tricks learnt in class to build routines that will develop your pole flow. The Tutor

Gemini Pole Studio

Gemini Pole Studios is made up of Amy and Nora.

Amy has been teaching Pole Dancing since 2010. Regular exercise was something that she was never fond of. After joining PoleSoc at Sussex University, she fell in love with Pole and since then, she has never looked back. With a strong background in Ballet and Modern Dance, Amy found that Pole provided her with a great opportunity to combine the fluidity and dynamic movement of dance with building her upper body strength and stamina. Amy regularly performs in Brighton and loves to share her passion with others through teaching.

Nora has been teaching Pole since 2010, where she and Amy met at PoleSoc. Nora had always been scared of dancing ( although you wouldn't be able to tell now!) and starting Pole dancing classes was a challenge that she set herself in 2008. Nora is very passionate about Circus, and has recently trained in Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre at Circomedia and completed the Preparation course at Gravity Circus, covering Aerial, Acrobatics and Chinese Pole. Nora transfers her knowledge into her pole teaching (along with some super badass conditioning - don't say we didn't warn you!)
